Leonardo Di Chiara is a young Italian architect and engineer. He focuses his research and professional practice in the field of mobile architecture, exploring possible developments within the existing urban structure. By invitation from Van Bo Le- Mentzel, he joined the Tinyhouse University as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2017 he designed and built the aVOID tiny house participating as a curator in the Bauhaus Campus exhibition hosted by Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin. For the social value of his works, he was awarded the Premio Berlino 2017 by the Italian Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs which gave him the chance to develop a field research with GRAFT Architects. In 2018 he will bring his aVOID tiny house on tour from Berlin to Rome, thanks to the invitation of several institutions like the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the HfG-Archiv in Ulm, the Milan Design Week and the Goethe-Institut in Rome.

Giorgia Floro is a young Italian architect working and researching in the field of urban strategies and urban regeneration through the reuse of abandoned spaces and projects of social innovation. With the collaboration of La Capagrossa, a cultural association working in Apulia, and the su pport of the Administration of Ruvo di Puglia (Bari), she founded the project “Nove Nove Nove – Nine new boats. Regenerate the city”, a participatory process that managed to involve the citizens to discuss and share opinions about the upcoming document for urban regeneration. Considering the impact of this project and of other works related, she was awarded by Premio Berlino 2017 by the Italian Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a six months residency to explore Berlin urban practices and working with Raumlabor Berlin. During these months, thanks to the suggestions gained from this experience, she re-designed the projects of Nove Nove Nove, that will take place in summer 2018: a prototype for a city festival, aiming to bring back the citizens to the center of urban development, using art, temporary architecture and modern digital.
